Game Details

To begin playing Baccarat, you have 3 selections on where to place your wager:

  • bet the Player’s hand will win
  • bet the Banker’s hand will win
  • bet the game will result in a tie

Game Objective

The object of Baccarat is to correctly pick the hand that will finish with a point value closest to 9. In Baccarat, the highest score is 9 and the lowest is 0. In the event of a tie, any wagers placed on the Player or the Banker is returned. If you wager on a tie and the two hands result in a tie, your payoff is 8 to 1.

Game Rules

Place your wager on Player, Banker or Tie. Once this has been completed, click on the DEAL button to start the hand.

Two cards are dealt to both the Player and the Dealer. The suits of the cards have no significance in the game.

Third cards may be dealt (starting with the Player) based on the Table shown in the Third Card Deal section below.

Card Values

Card

Value

Ace One (1)
10, Jack, Queen, King Zero (0)
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 Face Value (i.e. 5 of spades = 5)

If the cards in either hand have a combined value of ten or more points, you will subtract the ten amount to determine the correct value. The remainder is the baccarat point value of the hand.

For example: 5 + 7 = 12, which counts as a 2 in Baccarat; 7+7+7 = 21, which counts as 1. Face cards and 10’s count as 0, so for example 9 + Jack = 9.

Winning

You win if:

  • The hand that you wagered on has the higher total
  • If you bet on a Tie and the Player and Banker totals are equal. All Ties are paid 8 to 1

Please Note:

  • If you bet on the Player and win, you win even money. For example, if you wager €5.00, you will win your wager back plus an additional €5.00
  • If you bet on the Banker and win, you win your wager back minus a 5% commission. For example, a €5.00 wager would pay €0.25 commission (€5.00 x 5%). So, you would receive €9.75 for wagering on the Banker (€5.00 plus €4.75)
  • If you bet on a Tie and win, you are paid 8 to 1. For example, if you wager €5.00, you will win your wager back plus an additional €40 for a total of €45.00
